Playable Character?

For sure, I don't believe that Michael Afton would be playable in the nightmare gameplay, feuding off the Nightmare Animatronics, including his own "Nightmare Foxy" disguise. It's the Crying Child who had to fued them off on his own. Here's the reasons why I believed in this way:

1. Nightmare Foxy as one of the enemies that the player had to feud off, and if Michael was one of the bullies wearing Foxy's mask, then it wouldn't be possible for Michael to face his own fear... from Night One.
2. Nightmare appears in the later nights, like Night 6 or 7, as the final antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 4, rather than Nightmare Foxy. If it was Michael, it would be Nightmare Foxy challenging the player instead.
3. Though it's true that Crying Child's head was crushed, it didn't mean it could end his life right away. He could be on life support for at least a week before the doctors decided to pull the plug, with Michael looking after him. That would explain the reason why we are looking through Crying Child's eyes, seeing how confused he is with his frontal lobe missing and all recent memories got into a messy screen.
4. If we are looking through Michael's eyes, we would have jumpscaring the wandering Crying Child's presence and then listen to his cruel laughing as Crying Child lay on the floor, weeping, or see him hold the door opposite to the scene of Crying Child trying his best to get himself free from his imprisoned, or pressing the left arrow and right arrow buttons to move Michael and his friends to shove Crying Child into Fredbear's mouth. All of that hadn't happening because we are seeing through Crying Child's eyes the entire time!

So I wish to stop the edit-warring on the Crying Child article to accept that Crying Child was the protagonist through the whole game of Five Nights at Freddy's 4.

The only reason why Michael knew Nightmare was because Crying Child mumbled, talking about him in his dream and Michael wrote it down. Otherwise, if you think that Michael knew Nightmare, but not other Nightmare Animatronics, then show it that he had covered ALL Nightmare Animatronics instead of just Nightmare himself.

And that's my two cents to keep this article from turning over to just "deuteragonist" character and leaving Michael as the protagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 4.

And also, neither "Survival Logbook" nor "Freddy Files" books are not canon in my view. Any source, outside Reddit sites, that proved them to be true by Scott's words are all I needed to know that "Survival Logbook" can be true or not. But until then, they are not. CC doesn't resemble the 5th kid at all.

The trivia item suggesting CC "resembles the 5th kid of Happiest day" should be removed. Happiest day is never established to be a birthday, and The Bite Victim is never associated with Golden Freddy anywhere in Fnaf 4. Fall of the Aftons?

Since the Crying Child (whose real name might be Evan) is most likely an Afton, this means his death following the Bite of '83 could've been the initial catalyst for his father's descent into madness that led to Fazbear Entertainment, Inc.'s infamy. Combined with the death of his sister at the grand opening of Circus Baby's Pizza World, this does not paint a pretty picture.

William Afton might've projected his anger and grief onto his business partner Henry Emily, who helped design the original animatronics, and his eldest son Michael Afton, who was directly responsible for "Evan's" death and probably considered a lost cause by him to begin with. The Crying Child possibly being Michael Afton?

His brother is soooo popularily theorized to be Michael. but a lot of people dissagree and say he is Michael himself! here's why:
The questions from the spirit in the logbook are clearly directed at the Crying Child, And not the Older Brother. and when the spirit asks do you have dreams, Michael draws nightmare Fredbear, and the charachter enclyopedia tells us that the Crying Child is the one who is having the nightmares. And if you say,Crying Child is dead, Michael can easily be a robot. Like Charlie being robot Charlotte in the novels. The scooper doesn't have blood on it when it Scoops Michael, annd at the end of Michael talking with Wiliam, at the end Michael's sound turn more robotic. But its not like Ennard is talking!!! So it could be that Ennard while scrolling arround Michael's Endoskeleton, accidently hit his sound box. Like what we see in Help wanted with Freddy Fazbear himself. And Ennnard could also crall aound easier in Michael's body if he has an Endoskeleton. An also in Step closer, there is a story about a boy called Pete with a brother called Chuck. Chuck and his friends bullied Pete, just like how Crying Child got bullied by Older Brother, with calling him names like cry baby .Pete also has a routine of non stop chewing gum just like Michael, his hand turned purple while the story just like Michael, and he died cuz of an accident and got into a hospital like Crying Child, but he sees the doctors doing stuff with his body, like if he wouldnt have died at all, HE SHOUND BE DEAD BUT HE IS NOT just like Michael. and in the book blackbird, there is a story about a person called Tobby who works aat freddy's just like Michael, and gets bullied by his Brother just like Crying Child. It's just a theory. Many believed that Michael Afton himself suffered the bite and survived. Same reason I left the theory about Michael's sister, "Abby", in that theory section. That is now pending as I am waiting for Santademon to give his answer about the timeline conflict, because the movie could be possible to be on the different timeline, separate from the game lore and the novel.
